Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
The short version: Poker Academy has no user accounts and no server. Everything you do here stays in your own browser. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information, because we never receive it in the first place.
What this site stores
Poker Academy is a static website. Your practice hands, tutorial progress, quiz scores and achievements are saved using your browser's localStorage, which keeps them on your own device. Specifically, we write:
poker_progress— tutorials you have completed, quiz scores, how many times you have played each game, and aggregate statistics such as questions answered and longest streak.poker_achievements— which achievements you have unlocked and when.tutorial_visited_…— one entry per tutorial you open, listing which of its lessons you have read, so the site can show you how far through you are. Each lesson is its own page, so this is what carries your place from one lesson to the next.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is not tied to your name, email address or any identifier, and we have no way to read it.
What this site does not do
- No user accounts, sign-ups or logins.
- No cookies.
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
- No advertising (see below).
- No third-party embeds that could profile you.
- No payment processing, and no real-money gambling of any kind.
The practice games use play money only. No real currency is wagered, deposited or won anywhere on this site.
Advertising
This site does not currently display advertising and does not use any advertising cookies or identifiers.
If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ads appear, and it will name the ad provider, explain the cookies and identifiers involved, and tell you how to manage your choices — including a consent prompt where the law requires one.
Fonts
The site loads the Geist typeface through Next.js, which serves the font files from this site's own domain rather than from a third party. No font request reveals your visit to another company.
Controlling and deleting your data
Because everything lives in your browser, you are in full control of it. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain permanently erases every entry listed above — progress, achievements and lesson history alike. Using a private or incognito window means nothing is retained once you close it.
There is nothing for us to delete on request, because we hold nothing. Progress is per-browser and per-device: it does not follow you to another computer, and another person using a different browser cannot see it.
Children
This site teaches card games, including casino games. It offers no real-money play, but it is intended for an adult audience and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. If you are below the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction, please be aware that the strategies taught here relate to games that may be restricted for you.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes — particularly the introduction of advertising, analytics or any form of data collection — will be described here explicitly rather than folded in silently.
1 September 2026: tutorials were split so that each lesson is its own page, which added the tutorial_visited_… entries described above. Nothing new is collected and nothing is sent anywhere; this entry exists because the previous version of this page said only two entries were written, and that was no longer accurate.
