Key Strategy Concepts

Information Advantage

Acting last means you see all opponents' actions before making your decision. This information is incredibly valuable for betting, folding, and bluffing decisions.

Initiative Control

Late position allows you to control pot size and betting action. You can choose to build pots with strong hands or control pots with marginal hands.

Range Advantage

Late position allows you to play a wider range of hands profitably. Hands that are unprofitable in early position become profitable in late position.

Bluffing Opportunities

Position provides more opportunities to bluff profitably. You can represent strong hands more credibly when you act last.
