Fold Equity
The chance your opponent will fold to your bet
Higher fold equity = better bluffing spot. Consider opponent type, board texture, and pot odds you're giving them.
Position Advantage
In position bluffs are more effective
Acting last gives you information and control. You can size bets appropriately and have more credible range.
Board Texture
Dry boards favor the pre-flop aggressor
Boards like A-7-2 rainbow are great for continuation bets. Wet coordinated boards favor calling ranges.
Opponent Count
Fewer opponents = higher success rate
Heads-up bluffs work much better than multi-way bluffs. Each additional opponent reduces your fold equity significantly.

Players who rarely fold will call with weak hands. Save your chips for value bets.
Multi-way Pots
