Spanish 21 Mastery: Bonus Payouts and Special Hands

Spanish 21's bonus payouts are what make the game exciting and mathematically favorable. These bonuses apply regardless of what the dealer has.

Multi-Card 21 Bonuses

5-Card 21

Pays 3:2 (1.5 to 1)

Example: A-2-3-2-3

6-Card 21

Pays 2:1

Example: A-2-2-2-2-2

7+ Card 21

Pays 3:1

Very rare but possible

Special Combination Bonuses

6-7-8 Mixed Suits

Pays 3:2 (1.5 to 1)

Any combination of 6, 7, 8

6-7-8 Same Suit

Pays 2:1

All spades, hearts, etc.

7-7-7 Mixed Suits

Pays 3:2 (1.5 to 1)

Three sevens, any suits

7-7-7 Same Suit

Pays 2:1

Bonus Payment Rules:

  • • Bonuses are paid even if dealer also has 21
  • • Only one bonus per hand (highest one applies)
  • • Bonuses apply to original bet amount only
  • • Must achieve exact combination (order doesn't matter)

Example Scenarios

Scenario 1: You bet $20 and get A-2-3-2-3 (5-card 21)
Result: Win $30 (3:2 bonus) even if dealer has 21
Scenario 2: You bet $25 and get 6♠-7♠-8♠
Result: Win $50 (2:1 bonus) plus original bet back
