Short Deck Hold'em: Short Deck Basics

Short Deck Hold'em (also called Six Plus Hold'em) is an exciting poker variant that uses only 36 cards instead of the standard 52-card deck.

Key Changes:
• Cards 2, 3, 4, and 5 are removed from the deck
• Only cards 6 through Ace remain (9 ranks × 4 suits = 36 cards)
• Aces can still be low in straights (A-6-7-8-9)
• Hand rankings are modified due to probability changes

Why These Changes Matter:
With fewer cards, certain hands become more or less likely to appear, which changes the relative strength of different holdings.
