Understanding low hands is crucial in Omaha Hi/Lo:
Eight-or-Better Rule:
• All 5 cards must be 8 or lower to qualify
• Aces count as 1 for low hands
• Example: A-2-4-6-8 is a qualifying low (8-6-4-2-A)
Low Hand Rankings (Best to Worst):
1. A-2-3-4-5 (wheel/bicycle) - The nuts low
2. A-2-3-4-6 (6-4 low)
3. A-2-3-5-6 (6-5 low)
4. A-2-4-5-6 (6-5-4 low)
5. A-3-4-5-6 (6-5-4-3 low)
Important Notes:
• Read low hands from highest card down
• 7-6-4-3-2 beats 8-5-4-3-2 (seven-low vs eight-low)
• Pairs disqualify low hands (A-A-2-3-4 = no low)
• No low qualification = high hand scoops entire pot
